Wallasey Philatelic Society was founded in 1947.

A friendly and enthusiastic society it has some 30+ members.

They have a local exchange packet, yearly competition and hold regular meetings at:

Meetings start at 7:30pm. on the third Wednesday of the month

 

Tea and coffee is served at 9:00pm before the meeting closes at 9:30pm.

 

Members’ friends, visitors and new members are most welcome at all meetings.

The winner is entitled to represent the society in the North Western Federation Rose Bowl competition.

The judge’s award up to 20 marks for each of the following:

Arrangement and Writing-Up

Condition and Mounting

Philatelic Knowledge

Originality

Interest to Non Collectors

 

Mrs M.E. Stafford Trophy: Open to all members. 6 Sheets required.

Points to be awarded as follows:

Philatelic Knowledge: 40 points

Layout: 15 points

Writing Up: 15 points

Relative Condition: 15 points

Research: 15 points

 

A.G. Nelis Trophy:

Awarded to the in-house exhibitor of the year.
